3/8/18: not looking much different, but starting to show some pink! Lost one from trying to water via mist bottle, rotted quickly. Gave another to my dad.

I read and followed the instructions: to correctly soak, dry and provide enough light and air. The first lot I got soon turned a sickly color, and browned at the tips and seemed quite poorly, so I contacted The Air Plant Shop who promptly sent healthy replacements! Some of the photos were taken with a magnifying app on my phone and really show the trichomes of the Tillandsia ionantha. Shows why you want to avoid excessive handling.
Watering and feeding should be put on a schedule that accounts for the winter dormancy period. Don't over soak!
These air plants came very healthy, double wrapped very carefully in tissue paper. I was pleasantly surprised that one of them looked exactly like this picture! The care instructions were greatly appreciated. At least one of the plants has "pups", I think. Would definitely order from this place again and would have no qualms about recommending them to others.
They made the airplanes arrive before Christmas. I sent them a message letting them know that they are Christmas gifts for grandchildren and they arrived today. They are such magical plants and mad it through the cold weather fine.

You will squeal with delight when you open this special delivery. The vast majority of the plants we ship will be green as in the second photo. Your air plants will bloom 2 to 3 times per year. Ionanthas are valued for their spectacular bloom coloration and production of "Pups" that they grow from their base. My plants arrived in very good spirits. fresh an nice, great packing job. I have then situated infront of a perfect window little bit of sun comes through. To hot to be outdoors at the moments. I see one has a hint of color. With this heat I spray them every other day and i have fed them once since they arrived. I had four from last year so they have siblings. I didn"t realize they were slow growers. What i like they are doing great, but what i want 4 them to grow up to be teens. thank u
These air plants arrived quickly, (they are from FL and I live in CT) I was was so happy to see them arrive on a Saturday in beautiful condition with detailed instructions from the seller. You can tell they take pride in their work and he instructions educated me, as this is my first air plant purchase. I plan to me a repeat customer! They aren't currently "in bloom" with vibrant colors, but the seller deabribes this happens several times throughout the year. I can't wait!
USPS lost first order. The seller quickly sent a replacement. The enclosed directions were detailed. Shaking out excess water is not something I would have known to do. By day 3, two plants were pinking up to red. They look good on my wall mounted fishing net. Thank you Air Plant Shop.
The plants were well packed and in great shape when I received them. Nice size for desktop terrariums. Just make sure you read the entire description on these plants. The color shown is when the plant is in bloom, they are not in bloom when you get them.
Plants were healthy when they arrived and they arrived on time.
I think the photo is a bit misleading. I got 4 small plants of one variety and 1 medium of another variety. The plants are small about the size of a US half dollar and all green. No purple red yellow as in the photo.
UPDATE: I’ve been finding very colorful airplants and Home Depot and Lowes lately. Red, yellow and purple plants and some with flowers for 3-5 per plant.
