I have mounted outside in the saltwater air with direct contact to freezing rain and very heavy winds for one month and it has held up well. I was skeptical of it's somewhat open design but survived through two Nor'easters and a snow storm...

This wall mount for the Wyze cam works extremely well. It’s easy to install and gives good protection for the camera. If you are going to use the camera in an area the is exposed directly to the elements it could let water in but mounted under the eaves, it gives ample protection to keep your camera dry and working long term.
This case certainly seems to provide better protection than other cases I have purchased since the camera is also protected on the bottom as well as the top. Will water eventually find its way inside, not sure. I did however put silicon around where the power cord connects and I did use a piece of tape to cover most of the hole on the bottom leaving only a small area for ventilation and for water to exit should any find its way inside. .
I am not sure how well it will fair in strong rain, as there is no silicone gasket between the back and front and the front lens is exposed to open air. However, it allowed me to install the camera in a better location. It is supposed to rain all next week so time will tell how it holds up. I may eventually add silicone around the top and the USB cable in the back for better protection.
I read the warning on the screws and tried to be extra careful when I installed it. I drilled pilot holes, matched my screwdriver to be the correct size.
The result was the second of the two screws had the head start to strip while it was being screwed in. So do buy better 3rd party screws so this does not happen.

*No cover for the front of the lens for water protection

I wanted to give this 3.5 stars, but not an option. For two of these, $20 shipped free to the door, it's OK. NOTE, this is not for outside use unless you put it under a large overhang, portico, porch roof etc... No way, I would feel comfortable placing in full sun. It does, however, fit the wyze camera well. But the weather resistant feature could be improved with some rubber seals around key areas that are obvious. I do like ease of assembly, and the included extra parts like the screws, anchors, and tiny screwdriver. Suggestion to seller.... nevertheless, I would ditch these tiny screws, screwdriver, etc... in place of a case design that just snapped or screwed together water tight and was simply tool free. I like the balljoint base attachment, and that part by the way, adjusts by hand and is tool free. My expectations two for $20, satisfied, not wowed, quality is just OK. But I had to have them to place my cameras where I needed them.

Very affordable. Does exactly what I wanted. My son installed this in his home, and mine after I saw how it performed for him. He did this one evening while visiting from out of town for the holidays. He was already familiar with the app and it was easy for me to use after his setup. He mounted one on the front porch and the back of the garage. Hiding the cords and plugs were a small challenge. He placed a plastic baggie with the extension plug inside on the garage and I do have an extension cord running into the exterior garage door but the security is worth it to me - the extra long extension cords are worth it and we could have used one more. The motion and sound detectors work very well and I can set the sensors to send notifications whenever I want, easily from the app. My interior foyer camera is set to pan every 10 seconds so I can see front and rear entrances. I added one in a room where my pets sleep so I can drop in and see them when I’m away. I placed this one on a nightstand and turn it to the wall when I’m at home. I like being able to use the voice feature and being able to hear. The motion sensors pick up cars driving by but I like being able to see when cars pull in and packages are left at my door. The “event” captures are brief but I was easily able to view the playback to see more. It’s also nice to be able to hear the garage doors going up and down so I don’t have to wonder if we closed the garage doors. I plan to purchase 2 more SD cards for the interior cameras to be able to use the playback feature inside as well as outside. My security system was installed 21 years ago so this is a nice supplement with the added audio and video features. I highly recommend this product, mostly because you just plug them in. The sensors will detect bugs, birds and chipmunks and lights and you can hear wind and rain - even picks up shadows of tree limbs swaying. All in all we are very satisfied so far. Shipping was prompt. I was lucky to have a techy son with experience with setting it up so I can’t say much about the ease of that but he did it in a couple of hours, including mounting the exterior cameras and setting up the app.
I purchased these to provide some protection from the elements for my outdoor Wyze Cam installation. The cam fits perfectly inside the housing. The cam is not entirely enclosed as the lens opening is exposed as well as part of the back panel to allow for the micro USB port. I have mine mounted under the roof overhang and have not had any issues. It seems to do well even with Florida downpours. I will definitely purchase more as I expand my outdoor security coverage. My only complaint is that the mount base is plastic, but seems durable enough.
I gave 4 stars because I couldn’t figure out how to Keep camera in position. I am very pleased with my Wyze camera and the Wyze enclosure! I placed under eave so it’s “out of sun and rain”. After reading others suggestions, I put some malleable, weatherproof putty over the holes to keep out insects, dust, etc. However, my problem was in adjusting the camera using the existing swivel. I wasn’t able to tighten camera in the position I wanted. With the use of my putty I rigged the attachment to stay in wanted position. That doesn’t show in picture. I’m sure a man who is more mechanically inclined than I am could figure the swivel out. I hesitate to say this because I feel it’s my lack of understanding the swivel and screw process and not the manufacturers fault, and that it’s simple once you’ve been shown how. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
This mount fits the Wyze Fixed Camera perfectly and is easy to mount and adjust.
One thing to be aware of there is no opening to daisy chain a power cable out to another camera. It does have an opening for the MicoSD power cable just not one for the normal USB port to power another camera. Not a negative unless you need this feature. I did not.
Overly impressed on what this adds to Wyze Cam. I was hesitant putting a non weatherproof camera outsize but it’s done the job! I’ve put this up and it’s endured several feet of snow coming down, freezing rain, and temperatures down to -20s °F(wind chill down to -50s °F). It is under and overhang in front of my house but it is definitely exposed to the elements still. If you have a Wyze Cam you’re wanting to check out I’d highly recommend this protective cover. Wyze Cam plus this cover is still a lot cheaper than any other security camera options currently. Note: I also did grab a 15-20 foot usb to microUSB cable as the Wyze Cam included cable is only maybe 6-10 feet which isn’t reasonable for outdoor use really.
