Tile (Gen 2) - Key Finder. Phone Finder. Anything Finder - 1 Pack (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

Tile (Gen 2) - Key Finder. Phone Finder. Anything Finder - 1 Pack (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I honestly think buying this was one of the best purchases of my life. I am CONSTANTLY losing things, so buying this was a no brainer. Immediately put one on my vape, which I lose 3 times a day in my own house, and 1 on my keys, taped one to the back of my 2 TV remotes.

Putting it on my vape was a little tough because I wanted to make sure it wouldn't come off. So I made a little loop out of yarn and attached it. Not the prettiest, but has done the job well for 3-4 months now. I have uploaded a picture of that. And for the remotes I just used some double sided tape It does make the remote a little awkward now, but I use the tile so much I don't care what it looks like.

While I was attending CES this year, I lost my vape of course, and immediately went back to where I was sitting and opened my tile app. It was findable so I hit the button and could hear it but not see it. Turns out someone had already pocketed it, and luckily I was able to hear the tone coming from that person. The person started to look confused when their pocket started to play a melody, and I asked if he just found a vape. He handed it over and apologized. If it wasn't for my Tile, I would be out of $100 vape. And that is just 1 example of the many times I've misplaced my Tile'd items.

I recommend this product to everyone that asks about it. I get asked a lot because of how visible it is hanging off of my vaporizer. It really is one of the best purchases ever, and has saved me quite a bit of money. If you lose things constantly like myself, this is a must have product.

That being said, there is some competition coming out now though and was approached at CES by one of Tile's competitors. They provided me a press kit of their product. And so far, it has been a pretty good replacement. I won't mention the name of it, or the extra features it has because it's a beta unit. But I hope when my batteries die and have to replace my Tile, that they will have these new features as well. If not, I may have to switch brands.

To the people at Tile, your competitors have some very innovative things in their units. I've reviewed them recently for work and rated them pretty high. So if you have any press kits available of any of your new products, I would love to be able to test and review them also. I want to stay a Tile fanboy, but that all depends on the features of your next units. I hope they stay awesome!

This.

This product makes me angry. Only because it hasn't existed my entire life.

I use my tile at least 47 times a week. Where are my keys? Let me look around like an idiot for an hour.

Oh wait.

My phone is glued to my hand at all times, never lost that... Simple press... Jingle Jingle.

LIFE SAVED.

Keys found by tile:

-behind the toilet (gross)
-under my pillow
-in my chicken coop
-under my car
-in my car
-on my car
-on my front tire
-on my mailbox
-in the refrigerator
-in my closet
-in my coat pocket
-under my desk
-in laundry basket
-in my pantry
-under the dog bed
-under the couch
-in the couch
-behind the couch

I now have a tile on every set of keys I interact with, both at work and at home.

Not only that, but it tells me where my employees are during the work day (they use company vehicles and have the app on their phones)

Best investment ever.

I bought this originally for my keys so I bought the 4 pack but I ended up using it for my 2 cats . This works really well I shared my tile with my sister and I lost 1 of my cats in the parking lot I used the map and it lead me right to him , the other time 1 of them was hiding so I made the tile ring the noise is very subtle not loud at all if you are in close range you can hear it but if it's in another room you can't hear it it didn't bother my cat at all so that is a plus .
I have it to dangle in the collar with there tag so this tile gets wet , dirty , scratched and it still works there is no malfunction the noise still sounds good it has a bit of scratches at the bottom but nothing to major , It's a bit big but it weighs nothing . I'm super extremely pleased with this gadget .

These tiles are a must for people who are constantly misplacing their keys, phone or wallet around the house. The chime is surprisingly loud for the tile's size and I can hear it from pretty much anywhere in my house. The only reason I give it four stars is that it is a little bit glitchy. There was about a 5 day period where it showed the tile activated but it would not play the chime. Still not sure why. Overall this has saved me tons of time rummaging through my house looking for my keys and wallet.

This just saved us $500. My wife lost her spare car key while away from the house--but did not realize she lost the key. Of course, she had Bluetooth off on her phone, so we had no idea where the key was lost. I had given up hope on finding the key--when I realized the app had an option to mark the tile was "lost". So, I marked the tile as lost. About a week later, my iPhone pinged with a message saying that my lost tile had been located, and the map showed the relative location of the keys. Someone with the Tile app on their phone had gone close enough to the keys that it registered the lost tile. My wife recognized the map location, went to the business, and they had her key!

Even if it is not foolproof, it paid for itself several times over!

Description

For those days when the remote control seems to have walked off the face of the planet, there's Tile. Tile is a tiny Bluetooth tracker and easy-to-use app that locates everyday items-like your phone, keys, and wallet-in seconds. Spend less time exploring that lost world behind your seat cushions and more time doing the things you love. Never worry about charging or replacing the battery for at least a year - it just works with zero upkeep.

I LOVE these! All sync well to my phone. I place them on my keys, in my purse, and right now, on a necklace for my 5 year old to wear when we go out. I can find her on a playground, if she leaves the stands at a soccer game, or at the neighbors. She can push the button and find me as well. If you aren't within the 100 yds for the sound to initiate, the GPS is great to show you in real time, where it was last seen or where it currently is (if you can't hear the tune). I have had these for a month and love that I don't need to locate things every day but I can. Seeing all the ideas people post about where they hide their tiles is great and the more people with them, the easier it is to locate your things off of their tiles.

If you are thinking about buying, do it! You won't regret keeping your important things at your fingertips.

These just work... I've tried the other leading brand (whose main benefit is replaceable batteries), but I've gone back to Tiles because of their excellent mobile app, and solid performance. There's an ecosystem benefit as well. These are very popular trackers, and people walking round with the mobile app are often noting the location of your "things." So if you lose something, you might actually find it.

I have one on my bike, my car, my wallet, my roller bag, my backpack and my keys. The one on my keys saves me a lot of time (push the button to find the phone, use my app to find my keys). The others just save me peace of mind.

And about the batteries... there are tradeoffs between having replaceable or permanent batteries (reliability, waterproofing, weight, cost). The bottom line is that Tiles last more than a year, and they've *so far* offered deep discounts to "re-tile" (swap old for now, with a recycling envelope). The best would be wireless Qi charging, but I suspect the economics wouldn't work out quite yet.

Awesome device. Literally proved itself in the first day of having it. I purchased the pack of 4 (one didn't work and I have to send it back) but the other 3 were good. Loaded the app and put one in my car and one in my computer case (I'm a bit absent minded at times). The third one I didn't know what to do with so I put it on my dog. Connected it to his collar. Later that day I went to work. Towards the end of my shift a neighbor sent me a message saying they saw my dog running loose in the neighborhood. I was about an hour away from home and was concerned. Since I have gates and high walls I wondered if perhaps someone had broken in or if he had jumped out. I asked my neighbor to go to my house and call for the dog as I hoped it was a mistake. The neighbor went round to check. She called out but there was no response. I now started to panic. Maybe someone got in from the back of the house. Maybe he jumped the wall and is indeed running loose. I then asked her to load the Tile app on her cell phone. Within minutes it showed he was inside. Or at least his collar was inside. At this point I was rushing home but felt confident that he was just sleeping away or unconcerned with the neighbor outside my house. Thankfully once I got home and opened the door. There he was, tail-a-wagging and happy to see me!

I keep Redfoot Tortoises as pets in my backyard (see photo). One of them has recently become an escape artist, using his brother to boost over the fence and wander off into my thickly planted tropical property. This tortoise is a master of camouflage--he burrows down in dirt and leaves--I sometimes have a tough time finding him even when he's in his fenced enclosure. I figured I could spend around $150 and build a taller fence, or try tagging him with the Tile for $25.

Glad I went with the Tile, it works GREAT! Naughty Tort has jumped his fence 2 times in 3 days, but instead of having to crawl around in the dirt and leafy underbrush trying to find him, I take my iPhone and follow the Bluetooth signal until he is in range. Then I just press the "Find" button on the Tile App to make the Tile chip play its ringtone. The volume is loud enough that I can locate the tortoise easily within minutes (instead of having to search my yard and the neighbors' yards for days and be worried sick that he'll get run over by a lawnmower).

I used clear, light duty duct tape to attach the Tile chip to his shell, which also gives it a bit of extra waterproofing. So far, the chip has been through a light rainstorm and made a trip through the yard when the sprinklers were running, with no performance issues. This product works so perfectly that I will likely buy a second one to tag the naughty brother tortoise. It's only a matter of time until he figures out how to get out, and knowing that I have highly effective tracking devices on my wandering pets is worth the peace of mind for $25 a pop. The Tile chip doesn't bother the Tort at all--he doesn't even seem to notice it on his back, and it doesn't appear to startle him when the ringtone plays.

I'm not sure why other reviewers are having trouble getting the Tile to work as it should. The Tile App was easy to install, and easy to understand and use. The key to making the system work is that you have to walk around to get in Bluetooth range of the lost (or wandering) object. I have an older model iPhone 5 with notable antenna problems, and the Tile chip still responds from a range of 15-25 feet or more. This is sufficient to track my tortoise because he doesn't move all that quickly or go very far. For a speedier or more far ranging pet, you'd have to rely on the GPS function, which just gives you a visual location. It's not as accurate as a Bluetooth link, and you can't make the Tile chip ring. Still, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Tile as a tracking device.

I have tried many different bluetooth trackers and have been let down by pretty much all of them. They all have their shortcomings, and most simply didn't work. I held off on buying this brand even with all the good reviews simply because I did not like the thought of a non-replaceable one-year battery. I ended up buying this after yet another tracker brand failed me, and I regret not getting this sooner. It just works. Where brands like Pebblebee, Fobo Beacon, and TrackR failed, Tile has come through. Other trackers will lose connection and fail to reconnect, or constantly alert my phone that it has gone out of range even though my phone is literally sitting on top of it. Tile paired easily, and more importantly, stayed paired. Even when it got out of range, it reliably showed on my app where it was last seen and promptly reconnected once I was in range. It has also helped me in finding my phone. It may not have connected features like XY or Pebblebee that allow you to connect it to IFTTT and it may only last a year before needing to be replaced due to a dead battery, but it is the most reliable bluetooth tracker out of the bunch.
