They call me bird seed woman at work! LOL. This mix is SOOO Good. I started to take nuts out of my diet just to see if it would make a difference with headaches I was having - I realized how much I liked seeds with this mix - and the dark chocolate thrown in is perfect! I am not crazy about the opening at the top - for me I have to cut it with a scissors or the package opens up all over the place - so I usually cut it open and pour it out onto a paper towel at work to snack on. It's great tasting, filling and gives you a lot to work with for your fingers - keeps you busy! I call it my bird seed. I really do like it - and to top it off - it's NON GMO - so it's great ingredients, no chemicals, etc. Perfect snack food. I buy it by the case and take it everywhere with me (and my scissors!). My headaches were not related to nuts I found out - but I continued to stay nut-free and keep eating this seed mix - because it's soo good. I don't miss the nuts!! (or the calories!)
I originally found this snack at I believe a gas station but couldn't remember which one and I needed a good healthy snack for a road trip so went on last week.
This was the first snack idea that came to mind. Why... because it tastes good, it's good for you, it nips my need for sweets in the bud and it's usually hard to do that because I really like cookies.
I'm also gluten intolerant and am very conscience of people having allergies for foods so I try to eat as allergen free as possible.
This will definitely always be a staple in my pantry and I keep one in my glove compartment just in case I get hungry while driving so I don't make a bad meal decision.
My daughter has nut and sesame seed allergies. Prior to turning 5 she was also allergic to sunflower seeds which eliminated most nut substitutes. Fortunately, she out grew the sunflower seed allergies and LOVES that she can have trail mix. I put little cups of it in her lunch as a surprise. You'd think I just given her a big chocolate chip cookie by the way she comes home beaming. The best part is that the whole family can eat this including my sister with celiac. I've even developed a habit of snacking on it instead of chips. It's very tasty!
I'm so happy I found these as an easy snack to take on the go! I've recently become allergic to all nuts and peanuts, and I've really been missing having granola bars or nuts as an easy take-along snack. These are a great alternative and I've already re-ordered more.
My only complaint would be there is too much dried fruit for my taste. My kids (who don't have nut allergies) actually love these too, and they think the amount of fruit inside is perfect--but it's a little on the sweet side for me. I've actually been thinking of mixing a bag of these with just plain sunflower and pumpkin seeds, although that sort of defeats the purpose of an easy on-the-go snack.
I have a niece that is a wonderful, giving person who is allergic to so many foods that we always ask the restaurant manager if they use X, Y or Z in their food. If they do, we so somewhere else. Nuts are one of the worst for her.

I placed an order at Vitacost and needed just a little bit more to get free shipping. I saw these in the single serve packs and ordered them to try. They are very good. I noticed that if you buy the bulk order ( 6 bags ) on Amazon you can save. I opened 2 bags and portioned out serving sizes into plastic snack bags. Works well to just grab and go.
Love to have these on hand to throw in bags before heading out to sporting events. I also appreciate not having to read the labels to know that this is safe for my food allergy child. We've been buying EL products since they've been in business.
I do end up reading the label, just because it has become total habit, but it's so nice to be able to have that kind of trust in a company.
Great snacking food - I also put it in my yogurt in the morning so it sticks with me longer. The only reason I took off one star are the dried apricots. They are SUPER HARD ( not like the rest of the mix)! My first time dumping it into my yogurt I hit a piece and thought I'd break a tooth! Now, before I put it in, I go by handful to pick out the apricots (easy to spot) - put them in water to soften, then eat them later. Delicious overall and will probably keep my auto reordering - but "Enjoy Life" people, if you see this review, please ask your supplier if they can soften the apricots a little more! (maybe because they don't use sulfites...which is a good thing?) BTW, I'm on my 3rd bag-same problem in all 3.
This is a great item to bring to a party or enjoy with friends on movie night. The mix of seeds and chocolate is just right--slightly indulgent, but not a bag of candy. I bought it to share with family members who have dairy and nut allergies, but everyone dug right in, and went back for more. It's a light mix, very flavorful, and just right for snacking or enjoying with a casual meal. Some people in our party even put it on top of their fruit salad.
A few other reviewers mentioned splitting it up into six separate containers, and that's what we did, even though we served one whole bag of it at once: we split it into six small glass dishes and let everyone dish his own with tablespoons. I think splitting it up does keep the mixture just right, without letting the heavier seeds settle to the bottom.
A lot of trail mixes get stuck in your teeth, and I have to say, that was not a problem with this one. Whether allergies are in your life or not, I highly recommend this mix.
I only wish it were organic. (Then I would give it five stars.)
I don't have to tell you how hard it is to find a nut-free trail mix. And one that is free of cross-contamination, too!
I bought these as much for my peanut-allergic son as I did for myself.
I love trail mix but am not comfortable having it in the house with his food allergy.
We got the other flavor, mountain mambo, in the go picnic! snack kit & loved it. This one was prime-eligible, though, so we tried this flavor.
Not as good as Mountain Mambo, but still good. I found it a little too sweet with all the chunks of dried pineapple.
LOVE the pumpkin seeds for crunch.
A 6 ounce bag goes pretty fast in our house, so approx $4/bag is a little pricey for a snack, but given how sweet this mix is, we manage to keep our portion sizes down & it lasts a little longer.
I would probably pay even more, though, just to finally have a nut-free trail mix option. I'd love to see them come out with more flavors.
