I saw a bunch of nonesense reviews about this, so had to post this when I saw what I actually received:
a) It is authentic (attached image)
b) It was shipped by Office Depot (not some swindler)
c) Ordered in 2018. Manufactured in 2017. Lasts for 10 years...
Of all the batteries I use, I really dislike D size. They're heavy, and I understand that they have to be. So the question was, do I want to spend a small fortune on rechargeable D's or get the tried an true Duracell D. You know the answer. I use these in one huge flashlight and in two motion sensor lights on our house. I can't tell you that these are better than the bunny batteries, but from my experience, these just keep going, and going, and going. Since the motion sensors are used on a nightly basis (the sensors have picked up raccoons, skunks, and opossums which we didn't even know we had in suburbia), I think it's amazing that we haven't had to replace the batteries yet, and the light is still as strong as ever.
We bought this CopperTop D Alkaline Batteries with the reclosable package. These batteries are great for devices that get a lot of use and will last for a long time. These Duracell batteries were really durable, especially for high drain products.
These batteries are of high usage and still living up to their promise! Love the Duracell brand and the CopperTop Alkaline batteries are now our go to battery brand in our household!!
If you ever mix Duracell with any other brand, and the gadget runs out, keep the “old” Duracells and replace with duracell. They outlast...
These came in perfect condition, no bleeding, checked with multi meter and are at full charge, and the exact number I needed for my Coleman Lantern. I'm an electrical engineer. The amount of power available from an alkaline battery is almost directly proportional to its size. You don't see many D size batteries used these days (they are fairly large and heavy) but they certainly hold a lot more power than the equivalent AA or AAA batteries.
These batteries can be a bit hard to find locally and I was thankful to find them on Amazon at a very fair price.
The batteries were fresh and the printed expiration date was over ten years away.

Of course they are the best batteries, but in our case, living in Baja, we had to pay the private postal fees which made them more expensive than semi-locally sourced units. FYI

We have been using Duracell for many years, and have always trusted our camping and emergency needs and devices we use to being powered by them, in one form or another. Sure there are cheaper batteries out there, rechargeable even and solar too; and of course Duracell has their versions of all of these.
We do believe in being green, and doing the best to keep our energy footprint small, and we have found over the years we can count on the Copper top for most of our needs. And of course we should all dispose of them properly.
