We used this on a cruise the past week and had no troubles either getting it on board or using it. A wonderful extension, as indeed outlets are limited on ships. Even the huge Allure ship we were on! No troubles plugging in and all ports work. Customer service fun and quick too. Would definitely recommend this for your cruise trip, as we did see many other types of outlets confiscated from passengers.
With all of the concern being voiced by the cruise companies about the danger of surge protected power strips... and not allowing them to be used in the passenger's cabins... I was excited to see a new product... "Travel Power Strip". I ordered two of these units for the upcoming cruises we are taking before the end of the year. Like many of you... our travel electronic gadgets are becoming indispensable as we consider traveling and our need to stay connected. Every cruise we would bring our old surge protected power strip and hope it would not be confiscated. After wrestling with the cords and not enough outlets we were glad to have something to replace it. The new Travel Power Strip is compact yet well built with a very solid feel to the unit. One of the first things we noticed was the unit didn't have any long, brittle cord attached. Instead, the unit plugs directly into the wall outlet (see photo 2) so it doesn't have any cords to get in the way... or for me to trip over and pull out at night. The unit has three standard outlets plus two USB ports (see photo 1). For all of its positive construction, it is a very lightweight piece of equipment... and will easily fit into one of my shoes for safer storage and a place where I won't forget where I placed it when packing!
I have used both units in my office and they have worked flawlessly. I've also noticed they do an excellent job of dissipating heat build-up, unlike our old surge protected power strip we have used in the past. The true test of the new Travel Power Strip will be on our upcoming cruise to the Carribean. We do not anticipate any worries at check-in or problems with the units during the cruise.
(I have only given this new product four stars but am sure after the cruise we will correct it to five stars.) I would recommend this product to anyone needing a safer power strip for your travels!

I was really excited to receive the outlet with USB ports! On our last cruise we took along a power strip - it took up a lot of space in our suitcase - I started looking and found this little one. It's great because several of the chargers that had to be plugged into our old power strip were for phones - so I absolutely love the USB ports! I also love that it's so small - barely takes up any room in our suitcase. Oh - I almost forgot. . . I loved the confirmation email I received from the company! I know it was a form letter - but it was so cute and funny - made me feel like they were really only sending it to me. It was kind of corny - but made me smile anyway ;)
If you are taking a cruise you absolutely need one of these. Many ships have very few power outlets in the cabins. Ours had 1 double outlet in our suite (there isn't one in the bathroom even!) ...not nearly enough for phone and ipad charging plus camera battery charging, fans, and anything else we would need power for. This little gem was exactly what we needed. The two USB ports for device charging was great and left open the other 3 outlets for all of our other needs. I will never go on another cruise without this!! Highly recommended!!

I needed a power strip that was approved for use on a cruise ship, as they don't allow surge protection strips. This product, fro Cruise-On, fit the bill. It was delivered promptly. Even though I read the description on Amazon, I was a bit surprised at how compact and lightweight it was...perfect for traveling. I've tested it out at home and it worked fine. I'll be on a cruise next week and expect it will also work well there. I appreciated the company's attention to detail. They kept me informed of the status of my order each step of the way with detail and a touch of humor. They followed up with an e-mail after delivery to make sure I was totally satisfied. A good company to do business with.
Was very happy with the fast delivery of this product. I chose standard shipping and didn't expect to receive it until the 13th of July and I received it on July 10th after having ordered it on the 8th. Very pleased with the product. Perfect size for traveling and I'm sure it will meet all of my expectations when I use it on my vacation. PS also was surprised at the email I received describing the reactions of the order team when my order had been placed! Made my heart smile!
tl;dr: If you're going on a cruise and want to plug in more than 1-2 things at the same time, buy this so you don't have to worry about confiscation.
This thing was my best friend on our recent (02/16/2019) cruise. I bought this after hearing that cruise lines tend to confiscate typical power strips due to fire risk. When we settled into our cabins, I did see that there were only 2 outlets on our ship (Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas). Using the power strip gave us a total of 4 outlets to work with, so we never had any issues at all. No one from Royal Caribbean asked us about the power strip, but I'm certain our stateroom attendant saw it multiple times.
GOOD: Construction is very sturdy and device does not take up any more volume than necessary. Loved having 3 outlets. Especially nice was the cruise ship designation. It is also very lightweight, which doesn't hurt for packing into your checked bag.
BAD: Nothing, really. Would be nice if the USB ports supported fast charge, but that would be asking a bit much.
OK I had to review this because this company DESERVES 5 stars for their customer service, and I might pay them $15 just to get their e-mails. The power strip works GREAT I just returned from a cruise on Carnival Sunshine, HOWEVER, if you guys can figure out how to make one that is smaller and thinner and won't cover the second original wall plug, then you're going to be HUGE! Still we had three power outlets instead of the two and it worked great, and for two blondie cruise girls with phones, flat irons, hair dryers, and music going, it was handy!!
I haven't yet used the outlet as my cruise isn't for another 5 days. However, there are going to be tons of phones and hairdryers, and God knows what else that the outlet will be utilized to its capacity. It's small, light and even have a 2 usb ports. Won't take up any storage from your luggage, and an awesome price. I will come back to edit my review once I actually use the outlet.
UPDATE: The outlet worked wonders. The curling iron didn't fit in the bathroom outlet from the cruise, for whatever reason, and the USB outlet I purchased did what it was supposed to do. This is a good buy. I was a little apprehensive and nervous that they would confiscate the outlet, but I went on the ship with no issues at all.
