I ordered these mixed flavor treats for my husband to take to lunch/breakfast or for a quick lower calorie snack. They tasted great, just like the regular granola bars. I was glad they had less sugar and only around 100 calories and weren't expensive (at over $1 for a similar type bar is beyond ridiculous)! We had never had the cookies and cream bars and were pleased with the taste. His favorite were the peanut butter bars. I would definitely buy these again!
Edited 2/7/18 - right after opening my January subscribe and save of this, I realized they were already expired. So when I got my January delivery they were on only a few days from the used by date. Not Good. If I hadn't already opened them I definitely would have sent them back. They still taste okay, and the kids haven't said anything, but the couple I've had I can tell they're edging towards stale. And they are definitely a harder consistency than the previous boxes we've had.
While the less sugar is a big hit with me, the kids like the variety pack that come with the dips in the them too.
I'm not a big granola bar fan, I like the fruit & nut kind better, so I have to go off what my kids think about these.
They like the variety, and the texture, but they say they're a little bland compared to the regular version of these granola bars.
They do however, still eat them every morning at school for their mi-morning snack, and sometimes even breakfast if they're running super late for school.
I feel better about the less sugar they are getting at school with these, though I will continue to buy the regular version for weekends and holidays breaks.
I think it you just stick with these when the kids are young they're never going to know what they're missing out on with the extra sugar and every one will be happier.
These less sugar granola bars are delicious. I'm planning to take them to work as snack and break some into my yogurt for breakfast. My kids like the bars too! Of course it tastes a little different with less sugar but I know that it's healthier. I have no problem with my bars expiring in a month. I don't want a bar that expires in a year with all those preservatives keeping it fresh.
Husband and mom shared a box of these—petty small bars but they were cheap, with a code from thrifter.com. Neither was a big fan of the cookies & cream flavor, so we’re glad there were less of those in the box. Might not order this exact assortment again because of that...
The Chocolate Chip and P’nut Butter bars are both really great and taste just like the regular granola bars. The cookies and cream bars are too sweet for me so my Sunday School kids are the happy recipients🙃! The individually wrapped bars are a good blend of “not too soft and” “just the right crunch”. These are chewy, affordable snack bars. Not high in protein (only 1g per bar), not high in sugar also (about 17g carb per bar, sugar about 5g) but tastes too sweet (probably due to artificial sweeteners). Three flavors - a very affordable snack in emergency or on to go. I am very happy with it.
This 58 count box is such a great value, it is so much cheaper than buying the small boxes with 6 from the grocery store. I like that it comes with 3 different flavors and 25% less sugar than the original ones!
Ours came in very hard, they did soften up though. My only complaint is that the expiration date is so close to when we received the box. Had i know that i would not have ordered 2 boxes. However, you can eat these past the date if stored properly.
I always buy these when they are on sale. Even though it’s just 25% less sugar, better than full sugar, right? Same taste! My family loves these. Hide the cookies and cream from your kids for yourself.
Basically rice krispy bars which isn't a bad thing. I keep some in the car for a snack when needed, and they have survived the desert heat which is saying something.
