ViewSonic VA2446MH-LED 24 Inch Full HD 1080p LED Monitor with HDMI and VGA Inputs for Home and Office

ViewSonic VA2446MH-LED 24 Inch Full HD 1080p LED Monitor with HDMI and VGA Inputs for Home and Office

Nice monitor. Connected via HDMI cable. If you have a problem with black levels try this. If you have an Intel graphics adapter enable YCbCr in your color settings (or possibly any graphics card you're using) . This made a world of difference in my black levels and not having washed out colors. When I first connected the monitor to my laptop it was not good. No amount of messing with the monitor controls or laptop controls will remedy the issue until you enable this. Once enabled the screen looks great. Forget about the built in speakers for great sound. Yes, they work if you have nothing else but that's not why you by a large display.

Bought to make a dual display workstation out of my little laptop. The price was right, quick delivery, easy set-up and it very stable using my Thunderbolt dual monitor splitter on my laptop. I’ve had issues with other brands not syncing up. These are solid. If I open the laptop, I technically have 3 displays. My only complaint is that the unit comes with a VGA cable instead of an HDMI cable which went right in the trash. Luckily I had a few HDMI cables kicking around.

Picture quality seems quite good. Sound, well, no. Output is weak at best and not at all impressive. But the thing that annoys the living daylights out of me is that it is not stable. Any touch, or bump of the table it is sitting on and it will flop 5 degrees left or right. Yeah, not a lot, but enough to be really annoying. Power button is not visible, it is on the bottom immediately adjacent to the settings menu button. Can't just look and press the switch, you have to feel under the edge to find the switch. Be sure to feel from right to left to make sure you get the power button and not one of the others. These are fairly minor, if annoying, features. So it gets 4 stars overall. UPDATE: Instruction sheet that comes with the monitor is impressive, over 2 dozen languages. But this makes it so small that the non-labeled instruction drawings are too small to see and really don't provide much information. By scanning and enlarging, I found that assembly requires the "neck" to be inserted on the monitor first and then the round stand snapped on. This eliminates most of the wobble. Too bad they couldn't provide decent instructions.

Altogether I’m happy with the quality of the monitor - I’m quite IRRITATED with the shipping... I happened to be home whenever my order (two of these monitors and a dual monitor stand) were delivered. I was alerted to my packages being delivered by a surprisingly loud BANG coming from my front door that I heard from my living room, through the door, over 20 feet away. I immediately went to the door and opened it to find one box (containing the monitor referenced in the picture) at my feet. The delivery driver was back at his van retrieving the other two boxes. It was immediately clear that the BANG I heard was the delivery driver THROWING my f***ing package, in a rush. Needless to say the other two packages were carefully handed to me. After unpackaging everything and getting it all set up I thought I was in the clear and there was no clear damage done. But a couple of weeks later when I started working from home, on the computer for hours a day, I noticed the monitor that was THROWN has a weird issue with the display, which you can see in the picture. A simple row of B’s in Excel shows how whatever is internal is now displaying crooked, which admittedly is much more evident in person than via picture. I say I’m irritated because beyond this minor (and blatantly unnecessary defect) the monitor works exactly as expected, and this logistics issue is the only reason I’m not awarding five stars. If you’re reading this, unless you have a jack@$$ delivery person like I did, you’ll likely be very happy with this product.

But seriously Amazon, I’ve loved being a prime member for years now and this is literally the first issue I’ve ever had. Please look into your last-mile logistics so that your loyal customers don’t have to deal with a similar situation. I’d return the product for a new one but the hassle just wouldn’t be worth it.

This monitor is mostly intended for Windows; comes with a windows software package; does NOT include a software package for MAC OS, but the basic functions still work on a MAC>

The picture quality is as good, if not better than my iMac monitor, and that is saying a lot.

There is a lot of thin plastic in the design which I don't care for too much, but for the price, I can see that I am getting what I paid for.

If your main concern is picture quality and price, this is the monitor for you.

Loose or broken pins in the cable connector could cause an improper connection. • Connect the display to another computer. • If you have an older graphics card, contact ViewSonic for a non-DDC adapter. Control buttons do not work • Press only one button at a time

I bought 2 of these monitors to use for work. They are VESA mounted on a vertical monitor stand and one is placed right above the other.

No dead pixels on either screen and they look fantastic. My work PC only has an Intel onboard graphics adapter, so I made sure to enable YCbCR as per a comment I read somewhere. That setting definitely enhanced the quality even more.

I had previously purchased 2 slightly smaller ViewSonics for a similar setup a few years ago and the color temperatures were off between the two of them, so even though I had them on the same preset they 'looked' a little different. That is not the case with these monitors. No complaints, only wish my stand would have held 2x 27" monitors instead, only there is not enough space.

This item was purchased to help an elderly lady, she had an OLD 12" monitor, we help get her a new computer and of course wouldn't think of using her old monitor. Considering the brand and price we went with this monitor and she was VERY happy with it as well as amazing being that it was bigger than her television.

We bought this in conjunction with a home bar-top Arcade cabinet kit. It fit perfectly! The HDMI connection allows a Raspberry RetroPie to automatically turn the monitor on & off. There are four screws on the back of the monitor that hold it sturdy for mounting. It also come with a stand that is easily removable via 4 screws. We're still finishing off the trim on our cabinet here, but couldn't have found a better TV to fit in this cabinet.

Yes it is even though the size is 2in shorter and at 60hz compared to the msi 240hz this thing is awesome. Nice bang for your buck so to say.

My old msi monitor would DC when I went fullscreen on my games and take about 3 min to reconnect back and turn on and on top of that the GPU would register the resolution wrong with it. This does not do that.

Also the sound is ok but not great but works. I got my view sonic refurbished and it does its job.

Customer support is quick also had it shipped to old addresses and they were keen to fix it. Was on day it was supposed to be delivered and was rerouted. Took a little longer but got to the right location in the end Good job guys!

Only cons is the buttons are cheapish but that's fine, and top of monitor is slightly bent outward but not noticeable after awhile. Also cant adjust the height but hey you get what you pay for and nothing a few hard books cant handle.

Would recommend it again.

Bought these on a Cyber Monday deal and they were worth every penny. Set as a dual screen setup and the huge screens and bright displays are spot on. Setup using an HDMI cable (not included) instead of the VGA cable. Totally plug and play with a brand new desktop.

Sound quality if flat...but I bought a monitor not a speaker. Wish I could chain the 2 screens together for "stereo" sound but couldn't get it figured out.

All in all, if I needed another monitor today I would order more of these.
