Twinings of London Earl Grey Black Tea Bags, 100 Count

Twinings of London Earl Grey Black Tea Bags, 100 Count

So many of the reviews are for some other flavor of Twinings tea... of which I buy many, mostly here on Amazon. But I wanted to make certain it was clear *this* particular review is for the Prince Wales flavor. Locally I can find this flavor, reliably, at World Market, of which there are none locally since I moved to the Oregon Coast. If I remember when visiting Portland/Salem area, I pick up a box, but usually am too rushed.

From my first cup it became one of my most-favorite teas.(I have several favorites.) It is a smooth mild tea... perfect for late afternoon or early evening tea if caffeine is an issue. It lacks the harsh bitterness some black teas have. Sometimes I add a splash of milk but more often I just savor the outstanding flavor w/nothing more than a tsp of honey or raw sugar.

This is a tea I keep & drink several times a week & Amazon is the best source in terms of both price & availability. Another “mild black tea” favorite I can never find in stores but have found on Amazon is Twinings English Afternoon tea. If you are looking for a milder black tea, I highly recommend either or both. For the most bracing, “need caffeine” breakfast tea, Twinings Irish Breakfast is my favorite. I get migraines & caffeine helps settle it, but sometimes I get strong nausea w/migraine. Irish Breakfas tea is a better option than coffee on those occasions.

Any flavor Twinings tea is worth the cost & effort to find. The foil packs mean I get a fresh cup of tea every time & make it easier to keep a couple in my purse for outstanding tea anywhere/anytime! Try it. You’ll like it. :-D

Great quality. Surprised by other reviews that say tea is of bad quality. Perhaps the purple packaging and yellow packaging (which I received) are actually different earl grey products. Tea steeps well, also good for cold brewing in room temp or cold water. Each bag sealed in foil bags (see pics). Bag tears easily, convenient. Some grinds remain after tea is steeped, but that also happens with other tea brands like Numi and Lupicia, as I've discovered. Great quality especially for the price. Recommend.

My favorite spiced Chai ever. I don't love the distinct flavor of tea, and most that I've tried have ended up getting old in my cupboard before I finally threw it away. This tea has a very pleasant spiced flavor that I associate with fall, which happens to be my favorite season. However, I can still enjoy it in the spring and summer. There is almost none of the expected "tea leaf" flavor. With or without sweetener and milk, this is by far my favorite tea. Adding one or two of these tea bags to your coffee pot while your coffee brews makes a killer "dirty Chai". Love it. Will definitely buy again.

OMG, I am so excited to have found a caffeine-free substitute for my beloved black tea. Dare I say, this is even better. It's like Yorkshire Gold with a wee spicy finish. Really delightful and such a beautiful color. What a gift to find something this good when a doctor tells you to give up something you love. Oh, Frabjous Day!!

Twinings is my crack... All their tea is so dang good! I'm a long-time fan of Lady Grey, which is practically impossible to find in any other brand but this one, and when I saw this flavor, I knew I had to give it a try.
This blend is lovely! It smells really good and has a sweet, smooth flavor with a hint of apple tang. The balance of the flavors is perfect! Add a little bit of honey and you're gold!
This is good for when you want some tea at night because it doesn't have caffeine. I tend to make a pot of tea in the evening and drink through it until bedtime, so this will be perfect for that.
I don't know if this comes in a loose form, but I hope so. I prefer tea in loose form rather than sachets. If it does, then I'm going to be buying a garage full of this stuff, because I love it!!

Twinings of London Earl Grey Loose Tea is a fine black tea expertly blended with the citrus fruit flavour of bergamot to deliver an uplifting tea with a unique floral aroma and refreshing taste.

I'm not a super knowledgeable tea connoisseur, but I do drink a lot of tea, and I tend to have very strong feelings about the handful of kinds I do drink. Earl Grey is one of my favorite flavors, I've been drinking it pretty much daily for over two decades, I've tried many different brands in many countries, so I like to have I have a decent taste for it.

This one has very good flavor. It's a little weak, and I think a decaf Earl Grey would never be as good as an actual Earl Grey, but it is actually better than many Earl Greys at the supermarket. To find a (caffeinated) Earl Grey that is superior, I would probably have to go to a specialty tea store. That is to say, it's not the best Earl Grey tea I've had in my life, but it is really good and mildly refreshing, especially for a decaf. I'd say it is a classic Earl Grey "flavor", with a decently strong bergamot aroma and simple black tea flavor without any off flavors. The bags are individually wrapped in paper, which helps a lot to preserve the aroma and taste.

I got this to reduce my caffeine intake for health reasons. I am pretty sensitive to caffeine and this does seem to have very little, I can drink a cup before bed and still fall asleep easily (impossible with caffeinated Earl Grey). It does have some caffeine, because the caffeine removal treatment is not perfect, but that doesn't seem to bother me. It is very nice to be able to enjoy Earl Grey without the caffeine. As I said, decaf will never be as good as the real thing, so if you just like tea I'd suggest buying some quality loose leaf for superior flavor. But if you've settled on drinking decaf, this is excellent and I can definitely recommend.

I like this Darjeeling tea a lot. But the Pack of 6 boxes of 50 count tea bags I got in July 2018 had a January 2019 expiration date, barely 6 months out. This is not a lot of time to consume 300 tea bags. By contrast, the Pack of 6 boxes of 20-count that I got in February 2018 had a July 2020 expiration date. This implies that the short-dated batch had been on the shelf for maybe a year. Not exactly fresh. If you get short-dated product you may want to consider returning it.

I love this tea!! I have tried several ginger lemon teas I think this has the purest ginger and lemon taste. Also I have a problem if I drink tea (herbal is all I drink) that has a lot of hibiscus in it. Twinings has the best ginger lemon tea! I only wish it was a little cheaper because I drink a lot of it! But try it!

I like to use this tea to add flavours to other teas. Adding this to a Chai or Lady Gray adds a bit of natural sweetness and a hint of orange. It's a fresh squeezed essence. No caffeine means I can use it all day and into the evening. Try it as a flavouring to your regular tea.

After trying some tea at a local chinese restaurant, I asked them what kind they brew there since I enjoyed it, they told me it was Green tea with jasmine so I bought this product. It's pretty close, but for the quality, quantity and pricing, i'm giving it 5 stars.
