I swear, these are the best thing in the world. I was raised on the, then couldn't find them for years...Loma Linda/Worthington is hard to find in the south. They're as good as I remembered. This is a BIG can, I've got it on a regular shipment now. Dip them in egg white, roll them in bread crumbs, deep fry until golden brown. Eat with liberal amounts of lemon juice. MmMmmMmmm.
I'm a vegan & love this product. I'm originally from NYC, but now live in rural Alabama where vegan products are hard/impossible to come by, so I was happy to find this. But since I live alone the 50 oz can is a bit too much. I prefer the 20 oz size & wish Amazon had this by the case in stock. I got it from an outside distributor & had to pay $10 postage. Still worth it & cheaper than meat, etc.
I don't know why they are called scallops. they do not taste like scallops. That said, I did like that they could be used in almost any recipe. Being a vegetarian I love that these protein replacement could be roasted nicely or added to a casserole, soup, stir fry, etc.
So delicious after breading or flouring then deep fry, and Ready to eat. One of mine and my Father’s Favorite Vegeterian Entre’s growing up. I Serve as a Police Officer in the biggest City of New York, where we eat what we can and it’s not always the best, but when I shared some with a few of my Fellow Police Officer’s they were absolutely Shocked at how great they tasted. They just had to know where I brought them at. Also great with any Sauce, or Stew recipe. Absolutely delicious!!!
Good product. We batter fry them and put mushroom gravy on top.... Yum!

I love this meat product. I use it in pot pie. I like it fried with barbecue or just fried and flour. It's amazing.
Yummy!
