HP OfficeJet 5255 Wireless All-in-One Printer, HP Instant Ink & Amazon Dash Replenishment ready (M2U75A)

HP OfficeJet 5255 Wireless All-in-One Printer, HP Instant Ink & Amazon Dash Replenishment ready (M2U75A)

I purchased this printer after agonizing over the decision for weeks. Best. Decision. Ever. Printer is VERY easy to set up--wireless was working in just a few minutes. The copies are crisp and clean, no smearing ink. I have not tried faxing or scanning, I have only printed out MANY items for the new school year, but all have come out wonderfully. I highly recommend signing up for the HP instant ink (I ran out of ink in just five days--I printed close to 200 pages, though). The service is not expensive (it is even free if you only print 15 pages per month--how cool is that?!) and I ended up getting FIVE MONTHS FREE. That's 300 pages per month (I signed up for the most expensive plan--why not, right? I can always modify it later...like when the first payment is due!) for FREE. I have already received confirmation that new ink cartridges are on their way and will be delivered in just a couple of days. Honestly, I love not having to worry about having extra ink on hand--I never remember to pick up the cartridges...now I don't have to. Win! Highly recommend this printer. LOVE IT!

Love this new model! It’s bigger than I’d expected! But very sleek looking despite the massive size. It’s for home use! I’m a new business woman! So it’s great! We can’t scan. But the App scans and emails/prints. I’d recommend this printer. It’s pretty darn good.

I bought this printer to replace a Canon that was not performing very well. Set up was very easy and it found my network very quickly. I was up and running in under 15 minutes.

The smartphone app for this printer is very helpful and allows you to print photos from Facebook, Instagram, or your camera roll. You can also scan to an email and check printer settings.

I do not do a ton of printing but for what I need the quality is good. It is quick and quiet.

I did subscribe to HP’s Instant Ink and have received one refill. I’m on the lowest plan which is 15 pages a month for free. So far I have not gone over this in the couple of months I have had this printer.

I am computer stupid. I am the person that failed at most compute stuff. I on my own set this up and used it!! On my own!! The quality is amazing! I so love it!!

So I had an old photojet. It was really old but it did a great job. Wasn't sure I really wanted to replace it but the rollers were starting to groan with age like we all eventually do. So I got this officejet because it was so highly rated. A printer should just be a printer right? It sets up really easy and is wireless so I could spare an extra direct connection to my router. Definite bonuses. I don't broadcast my network name so I had to enter all that in manually but that is just how I do things and if you do to it isn't a problem at all. The thing that made me give it 5 stars was that it has a feed option where you can just put in a pile of paper to scan in and it just feeds each page through for you. This should be standard nowadays and probably is but my old photojet made me manually swap in each page. After that I wasn't really going to care about much else.

It prints and works fine. The one thing... if you are going to be like doing resumes or something that really requires that super sharp look, I'd suggest finding some laser printer designed for that. The prints aren't unclear at all but they just don't have that burnt-in chiseled look.

I purchased this as I dont have much space and I'm just starting school up again and needed a printer. I didn't know what to do because I really had No space to put it, even considering that it's wireless and I can place it a anywhere in my house with access to a plug. Finally creatively thinking I thought hmmm does it fit in a drawer so I pulled up the specs and measured my drawer and it looked like it might fit. I purchased it and right out of the box I put it in my drawer and it's a perfect fit. It prints wonderfully. I just wish the toner was cheaper lol.

well, I do get attached to things. One of those 'things' was a Canon MX860 printer. It was over 7 years old. We loved it. But after 7 years - of frequent use - started getting that dreaded error 'C000'. Tried all 'workarounds' and even changed the printer-head to no avail. Wife said: "It's Time. Let it go." Sigh. 7 years. Anyway, after some research, bought this HP printer. The name 'Office Jet' takes me way back: I'm a 'discrete component era' engineer who remembers the 'prestige' associated with 'Office Jet'. This unit was so darn easy to setup: about 6 minutes. The Wi-Fi config and performance is shockingly easy and fast. While printing it's a bit noisy and 'catapults' the sheets out, but I just can't believe this price-point-vs-feature thing: $60? (!). Even the fit/finish of the plastics is very good. 7 Years ago, something like this would have cost 2.5 times as much. Great value.

Very easy to get this printer up and running.
It is necessary to go to the HP website to download the software, and that was an easy process.
I like the easy access to the ink cartridges and the copies are nice and clear.
For the price and for home use it's a great copier.

When I received the HP OfficeJet 5255 printer I was excited to have a new and wireless printer. I followed the easy instructions and got an error code 0XC4EB0055 showing on the printer display. I tried several troubleshooting steps with no avail, the Printer cartridges holder would not move (kept stuck to the right side of the printer not providing enough space to insert the Printer cartridges.)

I decided to call HP support (via web site - CHAT)

The Support person was very helful but was not able to resolve the issue so after over 1 hour of troubleshooting he said he would send me a new printer and that should arrive in 5 to 7 days and I should return the defective printer on the same box with Paid Return shipping that they would send it to me. HP Customer Support really went beyond what I was expecting.

For my surprise, the printer arrived in 2 days and I was able to set up successfully in less than 10 minutes, in my computer and cell phone. The printing quality is very good. I highly recommend it.

HP program offered during the Printer software installation HP automatic print ink replacement services which after their free trial afterwards you would pay a monthly membership fee (from other reviews if you use the printer or not) I decided to OPT-OUT

Note: The printer can also be connected to your computer via a Printer USB cable that DOES NOT come with the printer but you can buy for less than 15 dollars in Amazon - Ipax 10Ft Long Hi-Speed Gold Plated Printer Cable. (you can find some for $ 9)

In this case, you can have wireless and non-wireless computers/Cell/Tablet connected at the same time with the printer.

4 Starts because it should come with the USB Printer cable other than that I highly recommend this printer.

Easy easy set up. I like the instant ink. I signed up immediately. Paper tray is within the printer. No paper sticking out. The HP smart app does wonder.
I can also send prints to my printer from anywhere in the world. During setup, you will get the printer email address. Oh yes, it has an email address.
