I read that "America's Test Kitchen" rated this as the best hot cocoa mix in a taste-testing [Season 8: Old-Fashioned Breakfast Cakes] and so I ordered this. I made a mug of this alongside a mug of Swiss Miss and the differences were incredible:
The GODIVA Dark Chocolate looked like a cup of coffee when compared to that other stuff, and tasted like rich, dark chocolate and not like overly sweetened cocoa-milk. It costs a lot more than other products, but you are definitely getting more REAL chocolate packed in there.

This is my favorite of the seven hot chocolate mixes we have tested. It gives you a very dark, smooth drink - what I describe as a Parisian hot chocolate taste as opposed to the typical American Hot Cocoa. I would not consider this a child's hot chocolate drink.
I'm Swiss for what that's worth, so I'm supposed to know good chocolate. This is good stuff - made from good quality chocolate, not overly sweet but not that terrible bitter stuff that people on the west coast seem to love for some reason. Highly recommended.
This hot chocolate is something amazing. You can not compare it to the ones that you buy at the grocery store. This tastes like good quality chocolate that was made into a hot chocolate drink, not like the powdered chemical-ly taste typical of packages hot chocolate. This, and the milk chocolate version are now staples in my cupboards. They recommend using milk and 4 tablespoons, and while I've tried different variations, the recommendation is the best taste. Although, I do add marshmallows on the top of mine.
For Christmas I bought about twenty different brands of hot chocolate for a gift for my sweetheart. Ranging from cheap to very extravagant. Some of the cheap brands were as good or better than the costly ones. Some of the expensive ones were a big disappointment.
Godiva was a standout, though. It was absolutely delicious! Of course, I'm not about to spend $3 whenever I want a cup of cocoa. But this stuff was a treat that shouldn't be passed up. Neither your sweetheart or your sweet tooth will be disappointed.

My husband bought this product for me two Christmases ago and now it is an all time favorite next to my Ghiradelli Sweet cocoa mix. It is rich, smooth and creamy. Must be made with milk...It is,heavenly! !
Rich and dark , this chocolate drink is to be savored . Now for the snobs with an issue , I think im a good judge of chocolate , this is pretty damn good for packaged chocolate . And almost as good as a bar of 99% chocolate from Trinidad , yes that type of chocolate , the kinda chefs pay top dollar to get their hands on. So yes , this is exceptionally good chocolate and even better if youre a godiva fan.
My only complaint is there is no warning that this is a disappearing cocoa mix. One minute you have a full container, the next there is only a third remaining. It is wonderfully delicious and very satisfying. Exactly the flavor you crave when you think of a mug of hot cocoa. Gave as a gift to my son and daughter-law and they had to immediately buy another container to put in their RV.
I absolutely love this hot chocolate! It is very rich and flavorful. It's like drinking a rich and smooth dark chocolate candy bar. I highly recommend this!
Delicious! My family all loves chocolate, and I got this for my parents. I got to taste it when I visited them and it was truly amazing! ( I probably like chocolate the least in our family) And they have loved it all winter long!
