Acer XFA240 bmjdpr 24" Gaming G-SYNC Compatible Monitor 1920 x 1080, 144hz Refresh Rate, 1ms Response Time with Height, Pivot, Swivel & Tilt

Acer XFA240 bmjdpr 24

It comes with Display port to Display Port Cable, Power Cable, and headphone to headphone cable. The speakers on the monitor are small tweeters, So, might want to stick with your awesome heaphones.

Very refreshingly satisfying frame rate. Compared to regular 60Hz, Everything looks smoother. Mouse cursor moves more smoothly, the videos play more smoothly, and games play better. Switching from a Samsung 4K monitor that runs at 60Hz, Faster frames are just so much more satisfying that going back to Full HD is no big deal. I do not miss 4K, at all.

I fell in love with this monitor since It went from using 30% of my graphics card to 70% of my graphics capacity playing the same game at 144 fps. Now, it feels like the games were meant to be played this way.

Note: if you play a game in 144Hz, you will never want to game in 60Hz, again...

Just for FYI, I was thinking about building a new rig just to max potential this monitor, but after using my current rig from 8 years ago with modern budget card, I changed my mind. I am using Nvidia GTX 1050 2GB with this, and it works with low settings with some medium post processing. Am I getting full 144 fps? seeing that it does not go 100% usage, but fluxuates around 70%, probably.

I have an Xbox One S on 1080p TV, and comparing the gameplay of PC and Xbox S, monitor makes the PC gaming experience so much better. I have only praises for 144Hz gaming. It definitely improves the gaming experience. I am guessing, due to less eye strain.

I absolutely love this monitor, sure it’s not the top of the line and only 1080p but gaming in 4K is expensive.
Pros:
- 1ms
- 144hz
- Price
- Overall appearance
- Sturdy stand
- Easy adjustable screen

Seriously I had semi low expectations when buying because it was cheaper than some but honestly it’s fantastic I love the stand it doesn’t move or rattle or anything it’s probably the best stand I’ve ever had for a monitor. It has small borders around the screen so it’s not massive and doesn’t take up a lot of space on your desk. Not sure why people say the colors looked washed or whatever to me they looked pretty good I took about 5 minutes messing with the setting and bumped it to 144hz cuz it’s in 60hz standard and it was 100 times better.

Cons:
- LED power light
- Settings

So when I first got it I couldn’t figure out what was bothering my eye thought maybe I needed to adjust to the 144hz. Figured out that when the screen is adjusted to the top of the stand the power light was like beaming me in the eye, super annoying. Easy fix cover it with a super small piece of duct tape so you can still see it but not right in the eye lol. The settings menu is a bit of a pain in the ass to manage around to changing stuff but honestly I set it once and never touch it again 9/10 so who cares. You have to go into the windows advanced settings to bump it to 144hz and you need a DP cable HDMI I believe can be set to 120hz.

In conclusion guys honestly you won’t be dissappointed in this monitor I love it. Does everything I wanted in a monitor and I don’t get eye strain from long sessions of use which is awesome! Also the price makes it even more attractive. For people who gave it 1 star for a white screen, come on shit happens you got a bad unit, they replaced it under warranty, it happens. For real though if you’re like me who has to check 50 different same items trying to decide, just buy this one it’s great!

Dude this monitor will blow your mind. At first i was anxious because of the reviews of this monitor not being able to display 144hz on 1080p resolution. When it came, i checked the rumors. And alas, the monitor is only currently displaying 60hz. But after researching for a little bit, I adjusted the fps from 60 to 144 on advanced settings in windows, and dude, you'll clearly see 144hz. When you move your cursor you will see the difference from 60hz. Runs like freaking butter.

It’s great. But honestly it seems like the frames maxes out at like 180fps. When I go up to 240 fps I can’t even tell a difference. Maybe it’s just my pc and not having enough processing power.
Also, make sure your monitor is plugged into your gpu and not your motherboard.
I got this; I don’t care about g sync. I’ve used g sync before and couldn’t even tell the difference. So this amd free sync is just fine for me.

This is a great monitor at a good price. Yes it is only 1080p but given my budget this is a great monitor. I don't have the budget to buy components that can push 1440p or even 4k AND have money left over to get a monitor to take advantage of all that power. I can max out all settings with this monitor, it is buttery smooth at 144Hz refresh and 1ms response. Acer is still doing a great job making quality monitors in the $200 price range. Even though it is only 1080p the image is crisp, with great colors, and I cannot notice any ghosting, tearing, bad pixels, or any other image issues.

Alright I'm a pro player (Salaried) and having 240hz is a huge game play difference from 144hz. If you're an Esports player to try be at the top of your game I'd recommend a 240hz monitor + at least 240FPS in game at all times. This monitor is a beast and it comes with custom crosshairs for those games that don't wanna give you crosshairs. I'd recommend it to any one trying to go professional in gaming.

I play rocket league.... A LOT! I'm a Champ 3 in the game (which is very, very good) and this monitor was a MUST buy for me; it drastically improved my game play (namely dribbling and flicks). First off, it is a true 240hz monitor. My AMD Radeon settings confirms this and I can very easily see the difference when playing at 120hz vs 240hz.. Also, the colors are beautiful! The biggest color improvement I noticed from my upgrade was in the darker lights. I would have preferred to get a 27in screen, however, this was by FAR the biggest bang for my buck ( and yours too!) that you will find at 240hz. I would have had to pay over TWICE (purchased for $230) what I did to get those couple extra inches... There is also almost no bezel and the Display cord is provided!! What a steal! And I can use freesync with this when I play PUBG (as I don't get as many fps on there) to eliminate tearing. Again, this was a bargain and would highly recommend trying it out.

This is a great monitor for the price, 144 hz and lovely picture I formerly had a ASUS VG248QE 24" Full HD 1920x1080 144Hz 1ms HDMI Gaming Monitor but this monitor is at least of equal quality for a good deal less cash.

The only reason I give this monitor a 4/5 instead of 5/5 is that it came with minor damage, the top of the monitor bezel wasn't clipped completely closed with some pressure i clicked it closed but there is still a minor aesthetic bump there. This had to have happened at the factory or been an oversight b/c there was no visible damage to any of the packaging and the packing material was great.

I highly recommend this monitor for anyone planning on Gaming or buying a gift for a friend who enjoys pc gaming.

I did plenty of research on the different high refresh rate monitors on the market and ended up buying the Acer XF250Q for several reasons. For one, it's a 240Hz monitor. There probably won't be that noticeable of a difference between 144Hz and 240Hz but I went with the highest refresh rate anyway and boy does it look amazing. Coming from a 60Hz monitor, 240Hz is incredibly smoother and enhances visuals so much more.

Another big consideration when making this purchase was the monitor's price. I got this monitor for $230, which is lower than a lot of 144Hz monitors. I don't know how they are able to sell these at such a low price, because I do not see any shortcuts taken in the quality of the product or it's packaging. Even the design is excellent: the bezels are quite small and the stand is both sturdy and very adjustable in all directions.

It gets quite bright at 400nits and there are no defects/dead pixels/artifacts. A quick UFO refresh rate and frame skipping test confirms that it's a perfectly working 240Hz monitor without any problems. Something to note is that it's a Freesync monitor, so you should only use it with an AMD GPU. When using it with the same exact system but with an Nvidia GPU, there are frame stutters and skips in the UFO test.

One of the most important quality control issues with monitors is backlight bleed. My monitor had a little bit of a lighter shade on the sides, but it's not noticeable in regular use. It's only noticeable in the dark with a black colored screen. I can upload pictures if someone wants to see.

Pros:
- 240Hz
- Bright at 400nits
- Price (cheaper than many 144Hz monitors)
- Well designed overall
- Sturdy and adjustable stand

Cons:
- Only compatible with AMD GPU (monitor stuttered/skipped when tested with an Nvidia GPU).

Firstly this is a great budget monitor. I was going to get a 144hz monitor but saw this on sale for $230 and jumped on it. I previously played on 75hz, so I can't completely vouch for how much better 240-ish(more on that later) is, but I can say after locking it at 144hz and playing CSGO, then locking it at 240hz, I can tell a noticeable difference, particularly on the desktop. It is now also officially G Sync Compatible, although it worked fine before it was "official." The monitor stays stable and is very adjustable. Viewing angles are pretty good but I did have to tilt it downwards a bit to ensure the best image. It has practically no input lag especially if you put it on extreme overdrive mode in the settings. I have had this monitor for a few months now, so I'm not just saying this out of initial high refresh rate hype, it made me play better. However, this monitor isn't all sunshine and roses...

The picture quality out of the box is absolutely terrible, and text looks even worse. I was sooo disappointed after initially turning it on. However, I downloaded a color profile for it on Windows, looked up some color settings on the monitor itself (tweaked it a bit on my own too), and adjusted the Clear Type settings in Windows. It now looks much better. Arguably better than my old monitor. That isn't really saying a whole lot, but AFTER adjusting the colors and taking into account the nice adjustable stand, high refresh rate, and low price, I deem it most definitely worth it. Problems don't stop there though...

I was noticing lines in the screen when launching full screen programs. The monitor would go black for a second and then grey lines (like a no signal from an old TV) would appear in a few places briefly, then it would disappear and everything would be fine. This still had me worried though, so I did some research. Read that people had issues with black screens and frame skipping on this model (and lots of 240hz monitors). So I went to blurbusters(.com) to check for frame skipping. I never noticed it in game, but it was apparent on the test. Being a perfectionist, I began down clocking it with the Nvidia Control Panel and at 228hz the frame skipping went away and so did the "no signal lines" when launching games. I have been playing like this since my 3rd day with the monitor and just recently switched it back to 240hz, still didn't notice frame skipping in game, but saw it on the tests and had the "lines".

So to conclude, this monitor isn't capable of "actually" reaching 240hz and has pretty bad image quality. But you can fix the image quality, you don't notice the frame skipping, and the price is so low (@ $230) that I let it slide. 4/5 pretty much exclusively on price to performance. If the image quality was better and it truly hit 240hz then it would easily be 5 stars. If you are someone who likes higher framerates more than pretty visuals, doesn't want to spend a fortune, and doesn't mind tweaking with settings to make it look decent, I'd recommend it. If not then look elsewhere.
