I was looking for earphones since I travel a lot. It is nice to have earphones especially for making phone calls.
I bought the earphones ~1 month ago. I didn't expect too much. It arrived in 2-days. I opened the Amazon box and woww... an orange box. It is so eye-catching. I opened the box and found the Taotronics box. It is black, so relieved since I'm not too fond of an eye-catching box. It comes with the box that charges the earphones when you are not using it, a pair of earphones (I mean, the left and right LOL), the cable for charging, various sizes of earbuds. Oh yeah, they have the manual as well, (I almost forget about it)
I have been using it for almost one month. I am not too audiophile, but I am a little bit picky about the sound quality of earphones or headphones. I am pretty surprised with the sound quality. The bass quality is excellent for the price. It has great noise canceling as well. The sound leaks a little bit when you set the volume above 70%, but I don't think it is essential since you will not notice it yourself. I compared the sound quality with Bose headphones (SoundTrue II) that I have, and I barely felt the difference while the price difference is pretty significant.
The battery lasts forever, (I don't count the hours, but one charge can last for 4-5 days for daylight use only).
What I love the most from this earphones is since you can use one of it and the primary earphone is the Left one instead of the Right one. I love it since most earphones have the right as their primary.
So the earphones make me fall in love with Taotronics. I will consider their products since it has a high quality sound at a low price.
Excellent sound quality! For me, these truly wireless earphones are a PERFECT cheaper alternative to Apple’s expensive Airpods. At first they fit a little loose, but when I swapped the ear tip to the included large one, they fit snug and bass sounds better. Lightweight, very comfortable overall. Calls went well with the built-in microphone when indoors but when on a walk, callers could hear a little wind noise. Also, had ro reset them to hve left and right pair with each other, but that was easy. Overall, I really like them.
Like the other SunValleyTek family of products I've bought, these are great value for the money.
Pros:
Very comfortable - and they stay comfortable during extended use; very compact for BT 'phones
The magnets work great - when you're on the move, securely around your neck is a lot better than stuffed in a pocket
Nice packaging
Easy pairing with my phone - very straightforward
Better than average performance when making phone calls - based on feedback from people on the other end.'
Good, balanced sound - not as good as $150-$300 wired phones, but real good and real clean, especially for the price
Cons:
Could be a little louder - they max out just a hair lower volume than I'd like - but maybe my hearing will last longer as a result !
I have purchased several sets of earbuds from Taotronics & affiliated company Vava over the years, some wired, some bluetooth. This purchase marks my “cinderella” foray into earbuds not physically connected to each other. Oh, what a difference!
Let me first state Taotronics & Vava generally have well-fitting earbuds. TT-BH053 True Wireless Stereo Earbuds (‘TWS’ is what you will hear in your ear when the two buds ‘mate’) are of the angled variety. Some of my earlier earbuds are of the non-angled variety. Having trended from the non-angled variety to the angled variety recently I instantly noticed they fit better. Angled buds occupy not only the ear canal, but also blend into the cartilage pocket of the ear. These go one step further. They hang. Leave it to gravity to do the rest. They blend into the ear canal, cozy up to the cartilage and add gravitational pull to maintain a secure connection to...ultimately...your brain. On second thought, these go two steps further. You won’t have to find the tiny ‘L’ & ‘R’ to figure out which is which. The left bud only fits properly in the left ear. The right bud only fits properly in the right ear. Problem solved.
[13apr19 addition ⇒ three steps further...ear canal seal (slight ‘pop’ as they are removed) may be created dependent on size of earbud tips (3 sets included) chosen ⇐ end of 13apr19 addition]
Volume increase/decrease, pause/play, previous/next, and answer/terminate call are all accomplished without a single button.
One tap of the left bud decreases volume. Three taps will advance play backward.
One tap of the right bud increases volume. Three taps will advance play forward.
Two taps of either bud will activate the pause/play function.
Calling:
One tap of either bud answers a call. Two taps of either bud terminates call. Long press (2 seconds) either bud to reject a call.
When not on a call, long press of either bud activates Voice Control.
Sound confusing? Not really. A few hours of play time is all it takes to master the ‘tap dance.’ Locating the in-line control module of wired earbuds can be more of a challenge. Fortunately, our ears are located in a much more dependable location. Once you insert these buds you’ve mastered 95% of the functionality.
Tap away to enjoy the clean and crisp sound. Bass response is adequate yet not overpowering. Mid-range tones are smooth and silky. Higher range tones are gentle, yet distinguishable. Stereo separation is well pronounced. Trials so far reveal maximum volume is really controlled by whatever music device or phone is connected. For instance, my tablet will push volume to much higher levels than my phone.
The case provides protection and convenient carrying in addition to re-charging the buds. LED indicators let you know when charging is complete. Taotronics indicates these buds are good for 40 hours total play time which includes several re-charges via the battery hidden in the storage case. I expect to get somewhat less time than that, as my volume preference is a little on the high side.
Overall, these Taotronics earbuds exceed my expectations. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have, should you decide to pull the purchase trigger.
UPDATE 27apr19:
Phone connection will occasionally drop and stubbornly refuse to re-connect. When phone is powered off/on connection can be restored.
After getting it, I was surprised about the size of the case, even after reading the reviews. I love the size, and it can be put into your pocket. As far as the buds itself, seems a little bulky but it's very light. Doesn't weigh your ear down if that makes any sense. Almost as if it wasn't in there. It doesn't bother the inner cartilage of the ear like others do after sitting in the canal to long. What helps is the shape. Practically made for the shape of the ear. It's just the rubber bulb of the earpiece that stays in your ear and not the earpiece itself. It just rests on the ear without any pressure. With the different sizes of interchangeable rubber pieces, it should accommodate most. Honestly for the price its worth a try. You can always return them and try others. It connects to my Note 8 pretty quickly. The sound quality is pretty good and so is the bass. I was surprised when I first tried it with music. Afterwards I tried a few phone calls and everyone hears me without asking me to speak louder or they hear to much feedback or wind etc. The case can be a hassle as far trying to open it. Its only a slit for you to grab with a finger nail. I couldn't just slide it open with m finger. Seems like I need a sharp object to open it. That's the only downside to it overall.
As far as endurance, I've been using them the last few days, so we'll see how long they last. I'll try to do an update within the next few months.

Description
Technical Specifications: So I have a pair of mebuyz, bose true wireless, and due to the fear of losing either, i went ahead and bought one of my most trusted brands, taotronics. Since i made a bet on mebuyz and it worked fine, there's no way that buying a name brand like taotronics would fail me, and wow, was i pleasantly surprised! This review is for the TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 TWS in-Ear True Wireless Earbuds with Charging Case ~ TT-BH053. Over the last few years, with the trends towards more mobile and cordcutting, why would anyone still buy WIRED anything (if wireless versions available), especially when it comes to headsets. I'm a huge fan of the fewer the wires, the merrier my life is. As such, I have bought over 30+ Bluetooth headsets on Amazon from a variety of online merchants. Guess what? The only ones that are still left standing are the ones from Taotroinics - I made REAL purchases using my hard-earned dollars, before this one, currently I've already owned 3 pairs of Taotronics Bluetooth headsets, two over-the-ear and one in-ear, and when I learned that they made a "TRUE" wireless version, I couldn't wait to get my hands on a pair of threse Taotronics BH-053 True Wireless Earbuds. I had bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones also by Taotronics a few years back and they work great. But i kinda wanted a second pair and saw these. They were a great price and i couldn't see spending $150 for a "white" pair so i thought i would give these a try. They fit really good in my ear and i cant see them falling out. i have not used them for working out, but i would with no reservations. Just wearing them, they really deaden the surrounding sound. I have used them to talk on the phone several times and the other person had no trouble hearing me, something i cant say about my other ones with the mic that hung down around my neck. I will say the other person sounds more like they are talking into my right ear, but i have pulled the right one out and can confirm the left ear is working fine, and i don't get this with music or anything else. I am impressed with this $50 price range true wireless earbuds. I tested and compared it with Jabra 65T I own as well, and it comes out this Taotronic one has a stronger connectivity than J 65T. It blows my mind!
Pros:
1) These fit even better than the mebuyz and almost fit as well as the bose true wireless
2) The battery life for these headsets are... wow! amazing! I've listened to music and took calls on these headsets for about 6~7 hours straight (and they felt comfortable!) and it only used about 2/3 of the battery! wow!
3) These earbuds sound great! I listen to jazz all the time, and noise isolation definitely works as it kind of canceled out the humming noise on the plane while traveling. Love it!
4) People asked me if apple came out with black wireless earbuds...hahahha
Cons
1) Even though these were really comfortable, i wish it came with some sort of adapter for the ear so that it would be even more stable
2) The touch controls might be a bit confusing at first, but once you get used to it, its quite easy to use.
Definitely recommend!
These are the 5th Bluetooth headphones I've tested over the past year, however my 1st truly wireless earbuds and my immediate reaction is.... WOW, these pack a BIG punch for something so small! Overall Grade: A.
These wireless earbuds are extremely versatile. It's amazing that there's so many features and the total length of playtime (~ 40 hours) is a pleasant surprise. To summarize, the wireless earbuds provide good sound quality when listening to music, and when talking on the phone quality is crisp and clear. Bluetooth connectivity pairs effortlessly with your Bluetooth enabled devices, the range, ultra-long battery life and smart touch controls are all excellent! You can't go wrong with these - If you're in the market for some reasonably priced wireless earbuds, don't look any further.

1 x Small Charging Case
6 x Ear Tips
1 x Flat Micro USB Charging Cable (1 foot)

Boxing:
The earbuds nicely are packaged in an orange box with a white outer sleeve giving a look and feel of quality. The orange box contains the cables, manuals and the charging case (inc. the earbuds) wrapped in plastic, and encased in a snug spongy compartment that ensures you receive the contents in good condition. Impressive. Grade A.
Charging Case / Power:
The earbuds are charged using the small and compact charging case which is lightweight and discreet. With the provided short flat micro USB cable you can connect the case to a laptop (per instructions) or an outlet to charge. When charging, the charging indicator lights on the front of the case tell you how much time is left to charge PLUS there are flashing blue lights on the earbuds to indicate charging. The charging case is nice and small that easily fits into any pocket, purse or can be held in hand without being noticed. The earbuds are placed in the case to charge which is relatively fast (depending on charging method) with ~2 hours to fully charge. Grade A.
Headphones:
The earbuds have a good feel, are lightweight - yet sturdy and very well designed to sit securely when in ear. The provided ear tips are quickly interchangeable to provide a snug fit in the ear if needed. The earbuds (left / right) automatically connect wirelessly and I didn't notice any drop outs while in use. These can also be used as a single earbud (left only) for times when you need to only listen on one ear. I've worn these for a few hours at a time and I didn't even feel that they were there - very comfortable. Sound quality is very good, the music was clear and volume is controlled using the smart touch / tapping technique on the earbuds. While using the earbuds to talk on the phone, the smart touch controls provide phone connectivity, the audio quality is crisp and sharp and the noise isolation features help to reduce background noise. Grade A.
Bluetooth Connectivity:
Very easily finds and pairs with available Bluetooth enabled devices and is quick to connect when turned on. Range is outstanding! I've been about 30 feet away from the Bluetooth enabled device and the earbuds still remained connected with great sound and no distortion or skipping. Grade A.
Bottom line, if you're in the market for a solid looking, good quality and reasonably priced Bluetooth earbuds, these TaoTronics Bluetooth 5.0 TWS in-Ear True Wireless Earbuds with Charging Case ~ TT-BH053 will not disappoint! A great find, the TaoTronics brand range has another great product!

As seen in the attached photos, unboxing reveals that it came with all the expected accessories similar to any other Bluetooth device, the microUSB cable, additional earbud cushion tips, etc. Most importantly, however, is the charging case. This charging case is the bread-and-butter of this buy, it serves multiple purposes:
1. Initial At-Home Charging: When an electrical outlet is available (at home or office), it serves as a charging case to fully charge the two left and right earbuds at home
2. A Portable Charger: even more conveniently, it serves as an ON-the-GO charger (650mAh), thereby alleviating the need to bring an additional portable power bank
3. Storage Case: Believe me, with true wireless earbuds (single or a pair), you WANT a storage case, else you WILL lose your earbuds - as mentioned before, while your earbuds are in the case, it's being RE-charged - HOW GOOD IS THAT!
Operational Aspects:
1. Simplicity: There is no physical buttons to press, everything (once fully charged) just works out-of-the-box, it connects the Left and Right earbuds, you simply use your finger to Touch Control area on the earbuds
2. Light Weight: this thing weighs in at 1.92 OUNCES, c'mon now, you don't even know it's in your ears
3. Aesthetically Cool: Again, there is no wires AT ALL - not even the wire that goes behind your neck in the In-Ear type Bluetooth headsets, it's there but you don't know it! So, it's great if you are doing any moving activities, eg. Aerobics, Jogging, etc.
4. Value: Unless you can afford it and CAN tell a difference (maybe a sound engineer, or LeBron James:=), I think it sounds way better & look cooler than my friend's Beat headphones, why pay for something you can NOT tell a difference anyways, and pretty much delivers the exact same experience at a much affordable price point
IN SHORT, this is my very first TRUE wireless Bluetooth earbuds, I'd place an order RIGHT NOW - it's best deal you can get for an amazing product from a reputable company like Taotronics!
I have found a few negatives, but nothing that makes me want to return them. I have found if you take the right one out first it will not pair to the left one. So always start with the left, which is the master. Also sometimes the ear taps don't work. but i would say at least 75% of the time they do, so that is fine for me. I do wish they had the feature of when you remove one from your ear the music stops, but again not worth the extra money for me.
For the sound quality it is above average, and I am impressed with its BASS. This is totally a quality and inexpensive option that you won't regret.
