Car Vehicle Subwoofer Audio Speaker - 6 Inch Non-Pressed Paper Cone, Black Steel Basket, Dual Voice Coil 4 Ohm Impedance, 600 Watt Power, Foam Surround for Vehicle Stereo Sound System - Pyle PLPW6D

If a entry level sub is what your looking for then this is it.
They are highly overrated but have good SPL
The speaker is supposed to be rated for 500rms
I would safely run 150-200 RMS into the pyle power subwoofer. I attached a picture below to show comparison of a true 800 RMS speaker to the speaker being reviewed.

Best $15 upgrade for a factory system. Speaker was just as described and fit perfectly into my 2002 Tahoe factory sub box. Speaker was equiped with the pushpins as show.

EDIT****

Ok, so i wound up putting this on a 3kwatt max amplifier that is capable of sub ohm driving. A big boy amp. i tried it out with a 6" sub from the same series, but in a custom ported box tuned for 55hz. I ran the 8 in a tube enclosure that is about a cubic inch too small. I hooked it all up in parallel so that it dropped down to a single ohm. I ran the amp just shy of half way and it rocked my world for about 10 mins. The 6 whoomped out completely, the 8 handled it like a champ. I felt like i was gunna have a heart attack. The bass was more than i expected from this combination. Now i run just the 8 in a sealed enclosure at about a third of the max volume of the amp. im putting something like 250-270 watts rms through ust the 8 at 2 ohm and its perfect. put a little bump at 100hz and a +6db curve peaking at 50 hz and its perfect. This sub is good, you just need decent equipment and a good tune when you run it. I will update if i blow it up.

i actually ended up warping the basket and now the 6" woofer rattles like a sumbitch, but it technically didnt blow. Im super surprised it didnt catch fire. Im now running a re-coned dvc dual voice coil that does like 800 rms with the boss 8inch sub. got something like 600 watts average on the terminals @.97 ohms. its enough to take your breath away in my old single cab ford. The 6 is an interesting sub. I never actually blew it up, it just warped itself under heavy load. I never would expect this from such an inexpensive sub. im going to order another, but its going in a home audio project where it will never see over 100W. They capture bass that is perfect for classic rock and other types of music that use a more tighter sounding kick drums. If you put juice on it in the 60-100 hz range it really kicks hard, so hard it will warp the actual basket. If you are trying to get heavy hits, i would recomend the 8" or bigger. Im 5"9' and i can comfortably fit an 8" tube enclosure behind my seat and drive my single cab 5-speed. The 10 i have in there now sits on the passenger floor lol. no riders for the sake of bass!

I put these in some old Radio Shack (They used to have quality components, 30 years ago, the approximate age of these) Optimus dual channel sub-woofers I got at a second hand store. The old speakers had been used so much that the foam around the cones had started to dissapear and had large areas just open. These old puppies worked very well anyway, or so I thought. I accidentally ordered these 15 inch sub-woofers instead of 12 inches, and I had to cut the openings out to get the big Thunder Lizards in. The sound is very clean, and these vastly outperform the older speakers. I now know what the songs I listen to should sound and feel like. I anticipate being able to annoy neighbors up to a quarter mile away with these, I usually make sure my near neighbor is at work before blasting Techmaster PEB or Beat Dominator or Lduk Imperial March Remix or even Let's All Chant. I hope there is a lowered pickup driving nearby when the minions of the law pass through my neighborhood to spare me a disturbing the peace ticket when I am using these new monsters. These are the best sub-woofers I have ever owned and operated ever. I am very pleased with them. 10/10 I would buy them again, and assuredly will if I can find a place to fit some in my car.

If you are driving this dual voice coil speaker with a normal stereo output, you will need two Nippon HC-101 low pass filters. Otherwise, it'll act like a mid range speaker as well, and it doesn't do that very well. If you're using a sub woofer amp, then no problems. It sounds very good, especially for its small size. I used a 6 inch woofer in a smallish space in a camp trailer cabinet.

For the money these are decent. I replaced two factory 6.5 woofers in a ‘99 Trans Am with the factory Monsoon stereo. I didn’t expect much of a product for the price as I was looking for an inexpensive replacement for blown speakers in a car that is driven very rarely. I was surprised when I turned the stereo on and heard how good they sound. Time will tell if they last but for what I needed they work great.

Hey, it's $14 bucks. And, it works pretty darn good. Not the best on the market, I get it, but for the price a very good speaker and quite a great value. If your just replacing an old blown factory sub in your car and don't want to break the bank, you'll be very happy. Sounds better than I thought it would to be honest. Hits decent bass.

Nice sub for the price. As for other poor reviews if you wire them up properly with the correct ohms per amp output you shouldn't have any problems

They sound great! Got them to replace some that came in the box I got at the flea market for $10 lol for $10 a piece, they're awesome. It says push down terminals on the box but they're regular ones. 5/18/18 got them today and hooked up. Will update later down the road if they start having problems.

One came damaged... But looks like great quality... When the news ones come I'll update this review with how they sound... *UPDATE* Applications may vary. Mine was to make a boombox. I have 2 Pyramid bullet tweeters and a Fosi "200 watt" (more like 30 watts RMSx2 @ 4 ohms) In a tightly seal box. I have to admit these speakers can take a pounding. Surprised they can reach those low notes. Will recommend at lower wattage but no more than 100w rms per speaker.
