I didn't like that the gloss part of the device would leave fingerprints upon handling. There's no shock resistance so it's a fragile device. However, it fits in your hand and is very easy to get started using it. Mac has some additional steps before it can be properly used but, overall, it does what it sets out to do and you get a lengthy warranty out of it if something does go wrong (under normal operation).
This is my 4 one for me and friends I take care of. Work great BUT would NEVER use there software I always reformat and use other well know or Microsoft backup just will not use WD software. Product works great as far as tech support I will not use them as I have been given bad information to many times. None understand about security and if you are going to have a Portable External Hard Drive you should think about security.

Casually it can be utilized an external drive, but it also allows the formatting of all partitions and you can do away with the integrated software. I was a little concerned that it isn't recognized as a removable device, but that's easily configurable.
I needed to backup my work laptop and was looking for something light, fast, and reliable. Just got the Red 2TB one today. Ordered in the morning and got it this evening with Prime. It was also on sale! Copied and transfered 53GB of data in the blink of an eye. Drag and drop using Windows Internet Explorer. So easy. No need to format it for Windows. Would buy again.
Compact, tough, RED, it does everything it's supposed to do and does it well. Data transfers are fast and reliable. This is an early in the life interview so we'll have to wait and see about durability over time.

It's small, but hold a lot of pictures. It has a security feature that I don't use, but would be a good idea for business files.
Bought this external hard drive because the 1tb on my ps4 pro was full and since I preordered black ops 4 and red dead 2 I needed the extra memory. It’s plug and play, the PlayStation itself reformats it for you
Great price for a lot of storage.
I have limited space on my computer and this helps alleviate the storage problems I have
