I've been using this brand of coconut for over a year and I am very pleased with the packaging, quality, smell and taste. I've purchased 14 jars since March of this year and have never had a problem with the quality. During the summer months it is usually delivered in liquid form, but thats to be expected. I live in Maryland and it gets hot here. During the winter its delivered solid. That is not a reflection on quality, it is the nature of coconut oil. Never has a jar broken. Never has a jar leaked. Never have I received a bad batch. We use it for cooking and I put it in my morning coffee. There is only the slightest hint of a coconut smell or taste with this brand, that is why I buy it. I have always been happy with this coconut oil. It is a great quality coconut oil and as long as the price stays around $15 a jar, I will continue to purchase this brand.
When this giant container arrived in the mail, I couldn't believe I had ordered such a big size, and thought it would last me the rest of my life! Well, I started slathering it on my body after my bath, putting it in my coffee every morning, mixing it with spirulina and honey for a treat, and putting it in my flourless bran cereal muffins, and here I am a month later ready to buy more! I must have had a coconut oil deficiency or something, because my body has just slurped this stuff up, inside and out!! I can't believe I've used the entire thing in one month's time!!! But, hey, it's an excellent price and apparently my body is not done yet. I even put a little on my curly hair after washing. It melts quite nicely into your hand with your body heat. I lived in Hawaii for five years, and they definitely have some fountains of youth there. Coconuts are one of them.
I just got my gigantic jar. It was much larger than I anticipated since I'm planning on using it as a moisturizer, makeup remover, and hair oil. I just opened the jar, and it is not like any other coconut oil I've ever bought. It reminds me of the coconut oil my mom and grandma would bring back from the Philippines as their moisturizer. The smell is faint, but definitely coconuts. It is not gritty at all, and melts into your skin on contact. I have put it on my legs and expected to wait around while it all soaks in. Didn't want to leave any grease stains on the furniture. But it's only been a few mins, and my skin has absorbed the oil, and I feel silky smooth. For the price and size, this jar will last me a while. Super happy with my purchase.
This is a great product at a reasonable price. I use it for cooking, skin, hair, and oral care. Coconut oil is nothing less than a miracle for teeth and gums, and it makes a great curry! (Remember that old SNL skit, "it's a floor wax, no it's a dessert topping?") I also mix it in my cat's food, as she has congenital gum disease. She started to lose teeth at the age of five, and her breath could knock me over. The coconut oil has completely halted her recurring infections and and she has stopped losing teeth. And now her breath is not noticeable at all. And her fur is as soft as a bunny's too top it off! I also oil pull with this as well, to stave off the gum problems that come with aging.
I rub a little coconut oil on my lips, and follow with a little vaseline with coco butter to seal in the moisture before bed, and my lips are soft and silky smooth this winter, when they are usually horribly dry and cracked. And it seems that my lips are also regaining their youthful color as well.
And as a bonus, the oil is packed in a nice heavyweight jar suitable for repurposing. I remove the labels and use them for bulk foods.

We eat this raw, in smoothies, cooking, fill capsules along with herbs &/or essential oils, skin & hair care. Including soap making, oil pulling, toothpaste, deep conditioning hair treatments etc. Some of the shredded coconut I’ve purchased has been a little dry. I liquefy some coconut oil & incorporate it with the shredded coconut to give it a fresh, incredible taste. Whole Coconut oil is oily/ greasy when applied to skin but penetrates & deeply conditions when massaged in. Beautiful product I will definitely purchase again. 🌴🌴🌴

The only price I've seen that is better is for refined / steam refined coconut oil. Supposedly it is just as good for you, but it totally takes the coconut oli delicious taste of it. I'll gladly pay more for virgin, non-refined, because the taste is out of this world.

Everyone should have coconut oil every day. Interestingly, a lot of people refuse to eat it due to it having a lot of calories, but it's proven to help with weight loss.
It seems to boost metabolism. Some people say it decreases their appetite as well.

Amazing product with so many uses that are beneficial to one's health. I was pleasantly surprised by how mild the scent and taste of Island Fresh is - distinctly coconut without it being overpowering. Thus far, we've used it in smoothies, alone (tablespoon), cooking, as a skin moisturizer and hair treatment. I've read about the values of coconut oil, and Island Fresh appears to be top-notch and at a reasonable price. The jar is huge!

I was just a little skeptical about this product because of some of the reviews. The jar I received was perfect ! It was full all the way to the top, no problem with melting. This is the best coconut oil I have ever purchased. Light, wonder taste, smell, perfect consistency.

This product arrived with a cracked lid, but I didn’t want to bother returning and felt it was safe due to the secure seal over the top of the can in addition to the lid. The coconut oil is delicious. I take a spoonful a day for health and use it for cooking. I highly recommend this product, but also recommend that the manufacturer make the screw on lid a higher quality.
I love coconut oil for nearly everything. You can cook with it, give a teaspoon to your dogs for coat health, and use it as hair/body moisturizer. Personally, I use it mostly for my hair and scalp. I have a severely dry scalp, so every couple weeks, I saturate my entire head in it, throw a disposable shower cap on, and sleep for the night. I shampoo my hair twice the next morning before conditioning and my scalp is awesome!
