We left the batteries in our XBox 360 remote controllers and the acid ruined them. I actually bought new controllers before finding this product for a fraction of the cost. It was like refurbishing my own remote controllers! I highly recommend this product and suggest you purchase two at once to save on shipping. Even if you only need one this is cheap enough for keeping a spare on hand.
This was a great buy and great value! My controller kept cutting off because the back felt loose and pressing the back of it at all made it shut off. I thought I just needed a new controller when I just needed a new battery cover! This saved me so much money and in case it happens again I have a spare! (I took the back on and off a lot for a while because I thought my games were freezing sometimes and when I took the battery out if it made the noise that my controller disconnected, then it was just loading very slowly and not frozen.)
My dog ended up chewing my old battery cover and this fit on perfectly. No issues at all. I use rechargeable batteries for my controls and as a result take the cover on and off almost every time I use it to swap out charged and noncharged batteries and it hasnt shown any wear and tear after more than a couple weeks of use. The black colored one doesnt match spot on with the OG controllers black but it didnt matter much to me. That migh have also been just because my controllers are faded after owning them for more than a decade.
Waaaaay cheaper than buying a new controller when this is the only thing wrong with it. I gambled on this one since I was not sure what is wrong with the controller. I do believe that most controllers are tough and would not easily malfunction unless you abuse it. My guess paid off. AlthoughI needed just one, I do understand that it would not be practical for the seller to sell just 1 and cover the shipping and handling. There is not much competition on this one since this is the cheapest one I found and it works.
Bought these as a replacement for my ancient battery cover on my 360. My son's birthday party is tomorrow and was hoping to play a 4 player game with his friends. Think cover saved the day for the fourth controller. As an added FYI, these easily accommodate rechargeable batteries whereas the original covers seem slightly resistant to allowing them. I had put my 360 S up, forgetting to remove the batteries. When I decided to add it to our living room TV to stream Netflix, these new battery holders were just the ticket to get everything running again. There is a tricky little reed switch in the rectangle in the middle of the sticker that enables the battery holder. Even cleaned, my original didn't work reliably. A pair of these were cheap at twice the price; no need to buy a new controller, at least this time. Thanks!
I ought this because my Xbox controller stopped working. Buying a new xbox controller from Microsoft would be around $45 so instead tried this. I’m so glad I did because it worked ans now I can finally use my Xbox to watch Netflix and YouTube.
Like an idiot, I left the batteries in my (2) Xbox360 controllers for over a year. Decided to fire it up only to find the batteries had leaked. Was about to order completely new remotes when I found the replacement batter holder. Ordered on Friday and it was here on Sunday with Prime. Worked like a champ. We are now up and running.
I'm glad these came fast. Sat down to play some cod zombies and my controllers wouldn't work. Quickly ordered these and popped to them in with they arrived. Lots of zombies killed that night. 10/10 would order again.
So far, so good with these! This is exactly what I was looking for and unfortunately stores don't really sell a lot of XBox 360 accessories anymore. I'll update this if anything changes since I only got them in yesterday, but I put batteries in, popped it on, and we were immediately in business. This is exactly what I wanted. I almost spent less on a single order of one, but I'm glad I spent a little more so I can have a back up for my other controller.
