We occasionally get traditional summer sausage and I've been very disappointed at what is on the market these days. I've tried most of the summer sausages available on Amazon and this is right up at the top. Many of the "classic" brands are either greasy, kind of tough, or just don't have the flavor that "old school" summer sausage does/did. This one has good flavor and seems of high quality. Still a couple more brands to try, but I'm pleased with Old Wisconsin and will order more in the future.
Non-greasy, great flavor quality product. I reorder often. Would buy in stores cheaper but can only find this locally during the year end holidays.
Thin slice of this on a cracker with a good cheese and some jalapeno pepper jelly (or sweet mustard) is a great for guests or a late night snack.
I am from Wisconsin and I miss being able to go to the Woodman's and buying Old Wisconsin anything. These beefsticks take me back! I am subscribed to these! NOM NOM NOM!!!!
This is a real tasty sausage. Summer Sausage is a ritual at our place on Christmas Eve, my Dad always enjoyed it with us after the presents were opened. This sausage was tasty, not too greasy or watery like many today. There wasn't any left at the end of the nite!

Been looking for great sausage like we used to get called Beef Stick. So for several years & several sources had to endure awful sausage (too much fat added I think.) Yuk!
So tried Amazon & saw great reviews on this Old Wisconsin Summer Sausage. It was perfect: great taste, nice and firm texture, plus a great price. Next year will order 2 so we'll have leftovers.
We have our 30 year tradition back-Christmas Eve dinner : Summer sausage, cheddar & monterey jack cheese, Chicken In A Biskit crackers plus "It's a Wonderful Life" movie.
I’ve bought this several times. It is the best summer sausage that we’ve had. It is reasonably priced and has wonderful flavor. I will continue to purchase.
After several tries with other brands, we now buy , on a regular basis, THIS brand. Everyone likes it and it goes fast!
I usually buy Hickory Farms' summer sausage. This was just as good. Will keep this brand in mind for the future.
