It loses one star for being a $5 part that costs $30 but aside from that this part actually does exactly what it's supposed to, break when you hit something. Lots of people on here are complaining about it but I assure you they'd be complaining a lot more if they hit something with it and it ended up pulling the entire bracket off the boat leaving a huge gaping hole. Believe me, it's much better to have the mount break than have a hole in your boat, especially if you're dealing with fiberglass boat.
This was a replacement for my broken mount, as a replacement it had everything.
But this is the worst transducer mounting design I've ever seen. It's weak and brittle. I moved this transducer up to my trolling motor using a different mount and replaced this unit with a triple shot unit which has a much better and stronger mount.
Had a storm toss something and break the bracket on my transducer. This bracket kit was much better then having to replace the entire transducer.

The mounting tab on the transducer was broken off. The skimmer slid onto the transducer and mounted to the arm on my kayak very easily. It works great.
